Prospera 359 was born from a belief held deeply in Latino communities: The wisdom, strength, and brilliance we need are already among us.
Our founder, Janet Padilla, learned this early in life. After losing her mother at a young age—just as she welcomed her first child into the world—she received a lasting gift: a reminder that life is short, purpose matters, and we are not meant to settle or conform to the expectations placed on us.
That moment shaped everything that came after. It deepened her appreciation for each day, reaffirmed the power of community, and ignited her commitment to help others live and lead with intention.
Through years of working with leaders and organizations, she saw how traditional strategic planning and leadership spaces often overlooked the lived experiences of the very people doing the work—especially in social impact, community-based, and culturally rooted organizations.
So Prospera 359 was created with a different purpose:
to honor people, challenge outdated beliefs, elevate community wisdom, and build strategies that activate possibility.
